WTC Final: Team India star Rohit Sharma and Shardul Thakur’s coach Dinesh Lad do not agree with the view that Mohammad Siraj should be included in place of Ishant Sharma in the playing-11 in the final of the World Test Championship. Lad believes that if the Indian team goes with three pacers, then Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah should get a place. Shardul Thakur could be a better option if a fourth pacer is included. The final match of the World Test Championship is to be played in Southampton from 18 to 22 June.

Earlier, former Team India spinner Harbhajan Singh had said that if he was the captain, he would have gone into the final of the Test Championship with three fast bowlers and would have included Mohammed Siraj in the playing-11 along with Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah.
Not Right to Use in WTC Final
Lad said it is not appropriate to experiment in an important match like the World Test Championship final. Ishant should be given priority over Shardul and Siraj when Team India landed with three fast bowlers. He is an experienced bowler. He also has experience of playing in Southampton and England. When you have taken him, he must be included in the playing XI for an important match.
Better Combination of Four Fast Bowlers and One Spinner
Lad said- According to me, Team India should go into the final against New Zealand with four fast bowlers. Apart from Shami, Bumrah and Ishant, Shardul should be included in the team. At the same time, either Ravindra Jadeja or R Ashwin should be included as the fifth bowler. The inclusion of Thakur will give the team a batsman along with a medium pacer. Shardul has proved himself with bat and ball on the tour of Australia.

Lad said Thakur had spoken to him before joining the camp. I didn’t talk to him on technical issues, but I told him to prove himself with both bat and ball when given a chance. Thakur is a good all-rounder. In the coming times, he will be the main player of Team India.
Rohit is Now Perfect in Tests Too
Lad said that Rohit has now become a mature Test batsman. He has also proved this in the home series. On the pitch where other batsmen were having trouble playing, Rohit scored a century. He also batted brilliantly in Australia tour. Although he could not score big, but in England he will show that he is the perfect batsman not only in limited overs but also in Tests.
