World Third Largest Cricket Stadium: Jaipur will be Built on 100 Acres at a Cost of Rs 350 Crore, 75 Thousand Viewers will be Able to Watch the Match

World Third Largest Cricket Stadium: Rajasthan is going to become the world’s largest cricket stadium. Its design has also been finalized. The 100-acre stadium will cost around Rs 350 crore. This information was given by Mahendra Sharma, secretary of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA). He informed that the stadium will have a capacity of 75 thousand spectators.

It will be the third largest stadium after Ahmedabad’s Motera Cricket Stadium and Melbourne Stadium in Australia. Motera has a capacity of 1.10 lakh viewers, while Melbourne Stadium has 1.02 lakh people to watch the match.

Land Final in Champ Village

41.47 hectares (about 100 acres) of land in the village of Champ has been finalized for RCA Stadium. There will be facility of indoor games, training academy for many sports, club house, parking for 4 thousand cars.

The Two Practice Grounds will be Separate

The stadium will also have two separate practice grounds, in which Ranji matches can be held. There will be two restaurants for spectators, 30 practice nets for international level for players and a press conference room of 250 seats for media.

Where will 350 Crores Come from

  • 90 crore outstanding on BCCI
  • RCA will ask for 100 crore grant from BCCI
  • 100 crores will be taken as loan
  • 60 crores will be raised by selling stadium’s corporate box

These Facilities will be

  • International Main Ground
  • Two practice grounds, which can also have Ranji matches
  • World class cricket academy
  • Club house

Stadium to be Built in 2 Phases

The RCA stadium will be built in two phases. The first phase will have a capacity of 45 thousand viewers, while in the second phase its capacity will be increased to 75 thousand viewers. 100 Crores Wrote Letter to BCCI for Grant

The design format of this international stadium was presented by the firm Mehta & Associates LLP in front of RCA Chief Patron CP Joshi and RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot. The design final took place at Joshi’s house meeting. RCA has also written a letter to the BCCI for a grant of Rs 100 crore.
