He further said that Laxman becoming the NCA head is part of a long process. His long conversation with Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah went on for a long time. The biggest dilemma in front of Laxman was about settling down with family from Hyderabad to Bangalore.

He also spoke to Sunrisers Hyderabad, of which he is a mentor. However, now all the problems have been resolved. He has played 134 Tests and 86 ODIs for Team India.

Laxman wanted to become the coach of Team India

Laxman wanted to become the coach of Team India instead of Ravi Shastri. If Rahul Dravid did not hold this position, then Laxman was the only option. Let us tell you that now Laxman will not be able to be the mentor of Hyderabad in the IPL, because according to the rules of BCCI, you cannot take any other responsibility of cricket while being the head of the NCA.
