Virat Kohli became the second batsman to hit 500 fours in the IPL. Now Shikhar Dhawan is ahead of him. Dhawan has scored 5044 runs in 169 matches at an average of 35.02. Which includes 575 fours and 106 sixes. In third place is Suresh Raina. He has hit 493 fours and 194 sixes in 193 matches. Raina is not playing this season, but till last season he has scored a total of 5368 runs in the IPL.

Gautam Gambhir has scored 491 fours in 154 matches. Kohli has scored 5777 runs in 187 matches at an average of 38.77. Which includes 500 fours and 199 sixes. Kohli played a total of 10 matches in this season till Wednesday 21 October and scored 365 runs during this period. These include 20 fours and 9 sixes. Kohli has put up 38 fifties in the IPL so far.
