Virat Kohli Becomes First Cricketer to Have 100 Million Followers on Instagram

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has become the most liked cricketer on social media platforms. On Monday, his 100 million (100 million) followers on Instagram were completed. He is the 5th athlete in the world to join this list. Virat also congratulated the International Cricket Council (ICC) on achieving this special achievement.

Portugal’s star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is at the top in terms of maximum followers on Instagram. At the same time, Wrestler and actor Dwayne Johnson is second, Argentina’s star footballer Leonel Messi is third and Brazilian footballer Neymar is at number four.

Virat Ranked 23rd in Terms of Overall Followers

In terms of overall followers on Instagram, Kohli is at number 23. In this case, Instagram itself has the highest number of 387 million followers. Virat is at the top in terms of followers in India. He also left behind Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka is second with 60 million followers and Shraddha Kapoor at number three with 58 million followers.

Virat is in Top-10 of Three Formats of ICC Rankings

Kohli is among the top-10 batsmen in the ICC rankings in all three formats of cricket (Test, ODI and T20). He is at the top in ODIs, while finishing 5th in Tests and 7th in T20s. He has scored 12,040 runs in 251 ODIs at an average of 59.31. While 7,490 runs have been scored in 90 Tests. Whereas, he has scored 2,928 runs in 85 T20s. Virat Broke Dhoni’s Record by Winning 22nd Test at H ome

Virat recently led India to victory in the third Test against England. He broke Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record for most home wins in Tests. Dhoni captained Team India in a total of 30 Tests on Indian soil. Out of this, 21 Tests were won and 3 were lost. Whereas, there were 6 test draws.
