Rohit Out of Top 2 in ODIs

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the ODI and T20 rankings on Wednesday. In the ODIs, India’s opener Rohit Sharma lost one place and fell out of the top-2 of the batsmen. Babar Azam of Pakistan has reached the second position. At the same time, Indian captain Virat Kohli occupies the first number.

Virat-Rohit was in the Top-2 for a Long Time.

The ICC released this ranking after the first ODI between India and England. Virat and Rohit had been in the top-2 of the Batsman rankings for quite some time. Rohit had scored 28 runs in the first ODI. This led to his loss and he finished third with 836 points. At the same time, Babur has 837 points.

Bairstow Managed to Make it to The Top 10

Virat scored 56 runs in the first ODI and he is on top with 868 points. Apart from these, Johnny Bairstow of England also gained 4 places and managed to make it to the top-10. They have reached the 7th position. Bairstow had scored an innings of 94 against India.

Shikhar Dhawan’s 98-run innings also helped him in the rankings. They have reached the 15th position. England captain ON Morgan also gained one place and moved up to 24th place. Ben Stokes gained 11 places in the rankings for ODI bowlers.

Bhuvneshwar and Stokes Benefited in Bowling Rankings

Stokes rose from the 75th position to the 64th position. He took the most 3 wickets against India in the first ODI. Among Indian bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar managed to make it to the top-20. He jumped 5 places to reach 20th position.

Kohli is India’s Best Batsman in T20 Rankings

Along with the ODIs, the ICC also released the T20 rankings. In this, Kohli gained one place and reached the fourth position. At the same time, Rohit gained 3 places and reached 14th position. Kohli played an unbeaten innings of 80 off 52 balls in the fifth T20. At the same time, Rohit scored 64 runs from 34 balls. Apart from these, Lokesh Rahul is at 5th position.

Shreyas Iyer Reaches Career Best 26th Ranking

Shreyas Iyer also benefited in the T20 rankings. He rose to a career-best 26th position with an improvement of 5 places. Whereas, Suryakumar Yadav, who made his T20 series debut, reached a career-best 66th rank. Suryakumar had scored 57 runs and 32 runs during the series. Pant also gained 11 places and reached 69th position.

David Malan Continues to Top T20 Ranking

David Malan continues to top the T20 rankings. At the same time, Jose Butler moved up one place to number 18. Bhuvneshwar Kumar reached the 24th position in the bowlers’ rankings. Whereas, Hardik Pandya improved by 47 places to reach 78th.

Rashid Reaches Top 4, Archer-Wood Also Gains
