RCB vs DC: In IPL 2021, the last match of the league was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals on Friday. Where RCB defeated Delhi by 7 wickets in the last ball in a very exciting match. RCB needed 5 runs off the last ball of the match and Srikar Bharat hit a six to give the team a wonderful win.

15 Runs Needed in the Last Over

RCB needed 15 runs in the last over and it was Avesh Khan to bowl. Avesh bowled well and conceded 9 runs in the first five balls. Now Bengaluru had to score 6 runs to win off the last ball, but Avesh Khan’s ball was wide and five runs were left for RCB. On the last ball, Sreekar Bharat did not disappoint the fans of Bengaluru and made the team the winner by hitting a brilliant six. Bharat scored an unbeaten 78 off 52 balls, while Glenn Maxwell’s bat also saw 51 not out off 33 balls.

Poor Start for RCB

RCB had a poor start while chasing the target. On the 5th ball of the first over, Devdutt Padikkal returned to the pavilion after being dismissed for a ‘golden duck’. On the first ball of the third over, the team lost the wicket of Captain Kohli (4). Enrique Nortya delivered both these shocks to Bengaluru. Delhi’s third success was given by Axar Patel to de Villiers (26). But after this Glenn Maxwell and Shrikar Bharat added an unbeaten 111 for the fourth wicket, not giving Delhi a chance to return.

Devdutt Padikkal got out for 0 in IPL for the second time. RCB’s score was 29/2 till the powerplay. Sreekar Bharat and AB de Villiers added 49 runs in 45 balls for the third wicket. This was the first half-century of KS Bharat (78)* in IPL.

Delhi Innings, Scored 164 Runs

Shikhar Dhawan scored 43 runs in the first innings and was dismissed by Harshal Patel. He shared an 88-run partnership with Prithvi for the first wicket. Prithvi Sha also played a good innings and was dismissed after scoring 48 runs in 31 balls. Chahal made him his victim. Captain Rishabh Pant got out after scoring 10 runs. Shreyas Iyer scored 18 runs in 18 balls and that Mohd. Caught out off Siraj’s ball. Hetmyer scored 29 runs and was caught by captain Kohli off Siraj’s delivery. Ripple Patel remained unbeaten on 7 runs. For RCB, Siraj took two wickets while Chahal, Harshal Patel and Daniel Christian took one wicket each. RCB vs DC.

The First Qualifier will be Played Between Delhi-Chennai

Bengaluru had to bat after winning the toss to finish in the top-2 and beat Delhi by at least 163 runs, but the team decided to bowl first which meant that the first qualifiers of the tournament were Delhi Capitals and Chennai. The match between the Super Kings will be played in Dubai.

Delhi and RCB did Not Make Any Changes for This Match

No changes were made in the teams of Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore for this match. Both the teams landed on the same field as the previous playing XI.
