Rajasthan vs Mumbai: In IPL Phase-2, the 51st match of the tournament was played between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday. Where Mumbai Indians won the match in a one-sided fashion by 8 wickets. Mumbai had a target of only 91 runs, which the team achieved at the loss of 2 wickets in 8.2 overs.

With the win, Mumbai’s chances of making the playoffs still remain intact. The team has 12 points from 13 matches and Rohit & Co has reached the 5th position in the points table. However, RR is now out of the top-4 race.

Mumbai innings, Ishan Kishan’s stormy batting

In the second innings, Mumbai’s first wicket fell in the form of captain Rohit Sharma and on the score of 22 runs, he was caught by Chetan Sakariya at the hands of Yashasvi. Rohit Sharma scored 22 runs in 13 balls with the help of two sixes and one four. Suryakumar Yadav scored 13 runs in this match and was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman. Ishan Kishan batted very fast in this match and scored an unbeaten 50 off 25 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 5 fours and returned to the pavilion only after giving victory to the team. Poor Start for Royals

Playing first after losing the toss, RR got off to a very poor start. The team lost its first 5 wickets in just 50 runs. In 20 overs, the team could score only 90 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.   • David Miller (15), popularly known as ‘Killer Miller’, was also a flop. Coulter-Nile takes him out LBW.
  • RR 90/9 was the lowest score of the season. Before Rajasthan, RCB had scored 92 against Kolkata.

In the match, RR included Shreyas Gopal in place of Mayank Markande and Kuldeep Yadav in place of Akash Singh in the playing XI. Mumbai also picked up Jimmy Nisham in place of Krunal Pandya and Ishan Kishan in place of Quinton de Kock.
