I want to give credit of victory to coach Vijay Sharma
Meera said- I also want to say thank you to my coach Vijay Sharma sir for this victory. He made me work hard. It was under his guidance that I got motivation and trained. Jai Hind. After winning the medal, Meera got emotional and started crying by hugging her coach. Meera had to dis-qualify in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Forgetting this defeat, she became the champion.
Mirabai lifted a total of 202 kg
Weightlifter Mirabai won the silver medal in the women’s 49 kg weight category by lifting a total of 202 kg. Hou Zihui of China won the gold medal by lifting 210 kg. At the same time, Cantika Windi of Indonesia won the bronze.

The coach said – changed the training pattern for the medal
Mirabai Chanu said – This will encourage women to enter weightlifting. I want to tell all the family members that they should motivate girls for sports. Mira’s coach Vijay Sharma said that there was a lot of pressure after the loss in Rio Olympics. We were hoping for a medal in this Olympics. We also changed the training pattern and technique for this. Its results started coming from the 2017 World Championship itself.
