On the first day of the match, both Indian batsmen shared an unbeaten 202-run partnership for the first wicket. After 24 innings, the Indian openers have made a century partnership. Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay had a century partnership last time against Afghanistan in 2018 in Bengaluru. India scored 202 without loss till the end of the first day’s play. Rohit hit his fourth career century. Rohit scored 100+ runs after 10 innings. He scored his last century against Sri Lanka at Nagpur in 2017.
