India vs England 4th Test Live: The fourth match of the 5-match Test series between India and England is being played at the Kenning ton Oval in London. Team India scored 43 runs without losing a wicket in their second innings till the stumps on the second day. Rohit Sharma (20) and Lokesh Rahul (22) are not out. The Indian team is still 56 runs behind England.
Earlier, England’s first innings was bundled out for 290 runs. In this way the hosts took a lead of 99 runs on the basis of first innings. Ollie Pope scored the highest 81 runs for England. Chris Woakes was run out as the last wicket after scoring 50 runs. For India, Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja took 2-2 wickets.
Bairstow and Pope Pair Made a Comeback
The second day started with England leading 53-3. Team India, bowling excellently, took the hosts’ five wickets for 62, but after that the pair of Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow did the work of handling the team’s innings. Both added 89 runs for the sixth wicket. This partnership seemed to be dominating India, but Mohammad Siraj gave India the sixth success by dismissing Bairstow (37).

Pope Played a Brilliant Innings
Ollie Pope completed his sixth half-century of his Test career while batting well. This was his first fifty against India. 23-year-old Ollie Pope played a fine innings for England. The youngster scored 81 runs off 159 balls. He also hit 6 fours in his innings.
Seven Fours in Two Overs
Olly Pope, playing the first match of the series in the 31st over of England’s innings, made Shardul Thakur four consecutive fours in an over and put pressure on India. After this, in the 32nd over, Jonny Bairstow hit three consecutive fours in the over of Mohammad Siraj. In this way, India ate seven fours in two overs.
Umesh Completed 150 Wickets
Umesh Yadav, who returned to the playing XI after almost 6 months, has completed his 150 wickets in Test cricket. He achieved this feat in the 49th match. Umesh became the 16th bowler for India to take 150 Test wickets.
Bumrah 1 Wicket Away from Record
Jasprit Bumrah is just one wicket away from taking 100 wickets as the fastest bowler for India. Bumrah has so far taken 99 wickets in 24 Test matches and Kapil Dev holds the record for the fastest 100 wickets as a fast bowler for India. Kapil Dev completed 100 wickets in 25 Tests.
Shardul Batted well
On the first day, Shardul Thakur entertained the fans a lot with his stormy batting. Shardul completed his second half-century of his Test career in just 31 balls. Thakur was dismissed after playing a brilliant innings of 57 runs in 36 balls. Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur shared 63 runs in 48 balls for the eighth wicket.
