Ind vs WI 2nd ODI: India defeated West Indies by 59 runs based on Duckworth Lewis rules in the second ODI played at the Port of Spain in Trinidad on Sunday. Team India registered their fourth consecutive win in the ODIs against the Windies. It was last found on the Pune ground in 2018. With this victory, the Indian team went ahead 1–0 in the 3 ODI series. The first match was canceled due to rain. The last match of the series will be played on this ground on 14 August.

Batting first after winning the toss, India scored 279 for 7 in 50 overs. Captain Virat Kohli scored a career-high 42nd. He scored 120 runs in 125 balls with the help of 14 boundaries and one six. Shreyas Iyer scored 71 runs in 68 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and one six. Due to rain, the Windies were given a target of 270 runs in 46 overs based on the Duckworth Lewis rule. Carlos Brathwaite (0) was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. Bhuvneshwar bowled Kemar Roach (0). Captain Jason Holder remained unbeaten on 13 runs. Chris Gayle 11 and Shai Hope were out for 5 runs. West Indies had a slow start chasing the target. When the Windies scored just 45 runs in the third ball of the ninth over, Chris Gayle fell victim to Bhubaneswar on a personal score of 11.
