ICC Women World Cup: India defeated Bangladesh by 110 runs in the 22nd match of the Women’s World Cup. Bangladesh had a target of 230 runs, in response to which the team was all out for 119 runs. Bangladesh’s Batting Disappointed
Chasing the target, BAN had a poor start and in the sixth over, Sharmin Akhtar was dismissed for 5 runs by Rajeshwari Gaikwad. Sharmin’s catch was caught by Sneh Rana at first slip. India’s second success was given LBW by Pooja Vastrakar to Fargana Hoque (0). Team India got this wicket on review. In the very next over, Sneh Rana dismissed Rumana Ahmed (2) to give India 5th success. Rumana’s catch was caught by Yastika Bhatia at short leg. For the sixth wicket, Salma Khatoon and Lata Mandal added 40 runs in 62 balls to take over the Bangladeshi innings. Jhulan Goswami got the break on this pair by dismissing Salma (32).
Lata Mandal was dismissed for 24 runs by Pooja Vastrakar. Sneh Rana took his third wicket in the match by LBW to Fahima Khatoon (1). Sneh showed the way out of the field by dismissing Nahida Akhtar (0) in the next over.
Strong Partnership of Worship and Affection
Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar added 48 runs in 38 balls for the 7th wicket to take India’s score past 200. In the last over, both the players made strong shots in every corner of the field. Sneh was dismissed for 27 off 23 balls by Jahanara Alam. At the same time, Pooja scored an unbeaten 30 off 33 balls.
