Jagat Prakash Nadda (59) was elected the 11th National President of BJP by consensus. He filed a nomination for the post at the party headquarters on Monday as part of the election process. He was made president when no candidate came. JP Nadda is the second leader after Amit Shah to be given the command of the party after the success in Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the party headquarters and welcomed Nadda and addressed the workers. Modi said that Nadda has contributed a lot to the development of the party. He said- I have done party work by sitting on a scooter with Nadaji.

Praising Amit Shah, Modi said- Amit Bhai’s tenure will be remembered because he worked for technology, party enhancement and activists. I have worked on a scooter with Nadaji. When I used to watch the work of the organization, these youth used to watch the work of the Morcha. When given the responsibility, keep playing it. We have seen in Naddaji the best work we can get.
BJP Follows the Tracks of Struggle and Organization
The Prime Minister said- BJP will mold itself in accordance with the hopes and expectations of the nation, on the same ideals and values for which 5-5 generations were spent. The party expands the horizontal and the workers develop vertically. The result of this tradition is that BJP is constantly getting new generations. Modi said- In 2014, we fought under Amit Bhai and before 2014, under the leadership of Rajnathji. Election is a continuous process for political parties. The development of our party runs on the tracks of struggle and organization.
We have come to Serve Maa Bharati for Centuries
Running the party while in power is a big challenge. The political party also appears to be part of the government. We will not let the line between the government and the party end. Modi said- It has been the specialty of the BJP that we move forward under a smooth running system. We are people who have come to serve Mother Bharati for a long time. We have to do this work for centuries. Do not sit quietly without fulfilling the expectations from which this party was born.
Modi, Shah and Rajnath Proposed
According to party sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, proposed the name of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of all BJP-ruled states, state president JP Nadda. He is considered close to the Sangh besides Modi and Amit Shah. After Shah became Union Minister, Nadda was given the responsibility of acting president on 19 June 2019.
JP Nadda is a Rajya Sabha MP From Himachal
JP Nadda has been a Rajya Sabha MP from Himachal Pradesh since 2012. He is also the Secretary of the BJP Parliamentary Board. He has also held the post of Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare in Modi Sarkar-1. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the party entrusted him with the responsibility of Uttar Pradesh. The BJP won 62 out of 80 seats there. Nadda was made the executive chairman in June 2019.
