Why is Republic Day Celebrated on 26 January?

Every year on 26 January, Republic Day is celebrated as the National Festival of India. Because our constitution came into force on this day. And every year on 26th January every year people share this happiness with each other. Our constitution maker, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar (B. R. Ambedkar) prepared the detailed constitution of the country in exactly two years, 11 months and 18 days. And then it was made the world’s largest constitution. Among the members of the Constitution were Dr. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, besides Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Republic Day History

History of Republic Day is very interesting. Regarding Republic Day, very few people will know about Republic Day Information that on 26 November 1949, the Indian Constituent Assembly adopted it and implemented it on 26 January 1950, but it was many years before the Indian National Congress held in Lahore in 1929. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru had announced in the session that if the British government did not give Dominion status to India by 26 January 1930, then India would be a completely independent country. Minister will be announced. The British government did nothing, so from 26 January 1930 until independence, 26 January was celebrated as Republic Day. You would hardly know this.

When India became independent, the Constituent Assembly was announced and the work of constitution started from 9 December 1947, after which this constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949. Among the framers of the Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was the Speaker, while Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad were all prominent members of this House. The Indian Constitution was enacted in about 2 years, 11 months and 18 days.

Copies of the Constitution were Signed on 24 January

January 24, 1950 This was the day when 308 members signed two handwritten copies of the Constitution. And exactly two days after this, on 26th January at 10.18 am, the Constitution came into force.
