Vaccination campaign going on from 16 January
- The vaccination program for healthcare workers was started across the country from January 16. After this, vaccination of frontline workers started from February 2.
- Its next phase started from March 1. Then people over 60 years old and people 45+ years old with serious diseases were vaccinated.
- Vaccination started for all people above 45 years of age from 1st April. It gained momentum after the vaccination was allowed to all people above the age of 18 from May 1.

On 6 August, the number of vaccinations in the country crossed 50 crores. This time 10 crore doses were administered in 20 days. It took 19 days to cross 60 crores, 13 days to reach 70 crores, 11 days to reach 70 to 80 crores and only 4 days to reach 80 to 90 crores.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, today 24,354 new cases of corona have been registered across the country. Active cases have decreased in the country. Their figure is running below 3 lakhs only. There are now 2 lakh 73 thousand 889 active cases in the country.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 14,29,258 sample tests were done for corona virus in India yesterday, till yesterday a total of 57,19,94,990 sample tests have been done.
