CBSE Result 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the results of the 12th board on Monday afternoon. A total of 11 lakh 92 thousand 961 students were seated in the corona affected examination held between February 15 and March 30, and 10 lakh 59 thousand 80 of them have passed. Total pass percentage has been 88.78% which is 5.38% more than in 2019. In this year’s result too, girls were ahead of boys by 5.96%. The pass percentage of girls was 92.15 while that of boys was 86.19%.

Girls for Sixth Consecutive Year Ahead of Boys
Girls have beaten boys for the sixth consecutive time in 12th results. In 2014, Sarthak Agarwal became the topper with 99.6 percent for the last time in the board examination. Since then, the girls have been toppers for six consecutive years. Last year, topper Hansika Shukla had cut just one of the total. He was ranked 100 out of 100 in Political Science, History, Psychology and Vocal Music and 99 out of 100 in English.
Result Came in 103 Days, 70 Days Late from Last Year
Last year the results came on May 2, but this year the corona is coming in July due to the lockdown. This time the board has not been able to conduct the rest of the exam due to the circumstances arising out of the corona lockdown. For this reason, the list of merit list and toppers is also not being released.
Result till July 15 after the court’s decision
Following the Supreme Court’s decision, CBSE had canceled the remaining 10th and 12th exams to be held between July 1 and 15 and decided to issue on the basis of the assessment scheme. Hearing the board examinations, the Supreme Court had directed that they should release the results of 10th and 12th by July 15. After which the CBSE board had stepped up its preparation.

Apart from this, students can also check their result through the Umang app. It is a mobile platform, Android, iOS and Windows based smart phone application. Marksheet will be Digital
These students will be given digital marksheet through DigiLocker. To download the marksheet from DigiLocker, it has to be downloaded from digilocker.gov.in. On behalf of the board, students have been given DigiLocker credentials through SMSS. Using this, they can download their marksheet.
