Students studying in the last semester of B.Tech program at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar will now be able to complete their studies from IIT Delhi. IIT Delhi will give preference to such students for admission to PhD program. The special thing is that both PhD students will be able to complete their thesis and research work under the supervision of experts of the institute. Agreement Between the Two Institutes
In this regard, IIT-Delhi director Prof. V. Ram Gopal Rao said that there has been an agreement to work together in research and academic activity in both institutes. Under this, students taking eight CGPA in the third year (sixth semester) of B.Tech program can complete their fourth year at IIT Delhi. Apart from this, he will be able to complete his project in summer and winter vacation at IIT-Delhi. For such students, IIT Delhi will allow direct admission to its PhD program.

Students of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will Benefit
Under this, PhD scholars from both institutes will also participate in research, seminars and workshops. For this, no extra fees will be charged from the students, the fees which they paid in NIT Srinagar will be valid. In NIT Srinagar, 50 percent seats are reserved for students of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. In such a situation, the students of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be the biggest beneficiaries of this agreement between IIT Delhi and NIT Srinagar.
