Akasa, a new airline company backed by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has got NOC from the government. SNV Aviation, which is going to start the service under the brand name Akasa Air, gave information about getting the permission of the government on Monday.
The company will now seek a license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to start its service in the summer of next year. Vinay Dubey, who was the CEO of Jet Airways, is also associated with Akasa Air. He will take charge of it.
