Yamaha Motor has launched the World GP 60th Anniversary Edition of its flagship 155cc supersport motorcycle YZF-R15M. Making this bike more stylish, it has been introduced with the iconic White and Red speed block color scheme. Yamaha YZF-R15M World GP Edition has been launched with a starting price of Rs 1,88,300.
The YZF-R15M World GP is the 60th anniversary edition. This edition signifies the company’s association with an exclusive range of motorcycle road racing since 1961. Yamaha’s special edition of this bike has a special badge on golden alloy wheels, golden tuning fork emblem, black lever and fuel tank.

Powerful Engine of 155cc
The World GP Edition of the YZF-R15M has made the engine more powerful than before. This bike has a 155cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, HOHC, 4-valve engine. It generates a maximum power of 18.4PS at 10,000Rpm and 14.2Nm of torque at 7,500Rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a fuel injected motor with variable valve actuation.
Price Hike
In early 2022, Yamaha increased the prices of many of its products, including the R15 V4. The new-gen R15 model was launched in September last year. At launch, Metallic Red was priced at Rs 1.68 lakh, Dark Knight Rs 1.69 lakh and Racing Blue Rs 1.73 lakh. R15M Silver was launched at Rs 1.78 lakh and Monster Energy MotoGp Edition at Rs 1.80 lakh.

In April this month, the company again hiked the prices. The price of the R15 V4 in India with the new prices ranges from Rs 1.76 lakh to Rs 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom).
