It will get a 2 liter turbo petrol engine and will also be equipped with a 48V mild hybrid system. Talking about its possible price. it can also be offered in the Indian market in the price range. of more than Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will compete with Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series.
Mechanical Update
The facelifted Volvo XC60 and S90 have received a mechanical update. While the older XC60 and S90 used a 2.0-litre diesel engine, the facelifted version gets a new mild-hybrid petrol set-up. Both these cars are equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. Which are paired with 48V battery and KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) for better fuel efficiency. This engine develops 250 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque, and comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The XC60 gets AWD, while the S90 is a FWD car.

Look and Design
The front of the S90 gets a new chrome bar under a central mesh. The grille has a new design and a new emblem. The car also gets a chrome bar at the rear and body colored rear inserts are present. The tailpipes are not visible.
