Honda Activa
Honda Activa (Honda Activa) continues to dominate the Indian market. This scooter from Japanese automobile giant Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has been ruling the list of best-selling scooters for a long time. The dependable two-wheeler secured the top position in September 2022 with a total sales of 2,45,607 units. The popularity of Activa in the market can be gauged from the fact that TVS Jupiter (TVS Jupiter), which is second in the list of sales, accounts for one-third of Activa’s total sales. That is, the sales of the Honda Active were three times more than that of TVS Jupiter.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India sold 4,88,924 units in September, a 15.5 percent increase over the number of 39,307 units sold in August 2022. That being said, HMSI exports declined this month and registered a decline of 24.6 percent. The brand exported 29,635 units this month as against 39,307 units sold during the same time last month.
TVS Motor Company (TVS Motor Company) sold a total of 2,83,878 units in September, registering a decline of 10 percent over the previous month’s figures. Nevertheless, the brand registered a year-on-year sales growth of 16 percent as compared to TVs September 2021 sales of 2,44,084 units.
