During the festive season, the market becomes brighter as the purchase of vehicles increases. Along with this, there are many other factors like an increase in vehicle production, and an omen to make some new purchases, which boosted the sales of passenger vehicles last month. For the two-wheeler market, manufacturers have reported an increase in their sales numbers, with Hero and Honda 2-Wheelers at number one and second in the list of best-selling vehicles in September 2022. While Hero’s Splendor finished at number one in the sales list, Honda’s CB Shine motorcycle secured second position. Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker, maintained its lead as the top manufacturer last month with total domestic sales of 5,07,690 units in September 2022. Hero Splendor was the best-selling motorcycle in September 2022 with sales of 2,90,649 units. The brand registered a year-on-year growth of 0.4 percent in September as against 12.6 percent month-on-month as compared to the previous month’s figures.

Hero’s 4 bikes are included in the list of top 10 best-selling motorcycles. While Splendor is at number one, Hero HF Deluxe is at number four, Glamor is at number 7, and Passion at number 9.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is the second-largest seller of two-wheelers in September after selling 4,88,924 units. Honda CB Shine is the second best-selling motorcycle in the month of September. It was followed by Bajaj Pulsar at number three with sales of 1,05,003 units. Month-on-month growth for the brand was recorded at 15.5 percent. As compared to the September 2021 sales figures, HMSI registered a growth of 5.4 percent.
