Skoda has launched its 2020 Rapid 1.0 TSI sedan in the Indian market. Its initial ex-showroom price ranges from 7.49 lakhs to 11.49 lakh rupees. The company has launched this car with BS6 Norms in 5 variants. The company booked it in mid-March before the lockdown began. On the other hand, company has also launched its Karok SUV. Its ex-showroom price is 24.99 lakh rupees.

Only BS6 Rapid will Come in Petrol Engine
In the new Skoda Rapid, the company has given the new BS6 1.0 liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol TSI engine that generates 110bhp power at 5250 rpm and 175Nm torque at 1750-4000 rpm. The engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. At the same time, the company has given a 7-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It gives 5 percent more output and 14 percent more torque output than the old 1.6 liter unit. It will give a mileage of 18.79 kmpl.
Many Features like Older Variants
Its design and dimensions are the same as the older model, but the company has made it sporty. It gets 16-inch alloy wheels with new elements, LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), rear diffuser and black lip spoiler. It will get the same butterfly grill as before. At the same time, wraparound headlamps, large mesh-pattern airdams and horizontal fog lamps. The top variant has a vibrant body color and sporty black alloy wheels.
4 Airbags for Safety
The top variants of the new Rapid have features such as four airbags, EBD with ABS, rear camera, automatic headlight and wipers, leather cover, climate control, auto-dimming inside mirror, rear AC vents, cruise control. It has an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with Android Auto, Apple callplay and mirrorlink connectivity.
Skoda Karok SUV Also Launched
The company has also launched its Skoda Karok SUV. Its ex-showroom price is 24.99 lakh rupees. This 5-seater SUV has been launched in a single but fully loaded version. Will be able to buy it only in petrol engines. The company has given a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine in it. Which generates 150hp power and 250Nm torque. It is equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Its mileage is 14.49 kilometers per liter.
Skoda Karok SUV Features
The Skoda Karok is a fully loaded SUV. It features panoramic sunroof, virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, 17-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, ambient light, full LED headlamps.
