The automobile industry is getting a green signal due to the increasing pace of vaccination and the decline in Kovid cases. According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), there has been an increase of 22.62% in the registration of vehicles in June 2021. In the last month, the demand for cheap cars to expensive and luxury cars has increased. This is the reason why Mercedes-Benz India’s sales have increased by 65% even in the Corona period.

In the first 6 months (January to June) of 2021, Mercedes-Benz sold 4,857 cars with a growth of 64.75%. These figures assume significance as it sold only 2,948 cars in the first half of 2020 (January-June). At that time the first wave of Kovid had caught the country. Companies also had to face long lockdowns.
Mercedes E-Class in High Demand
The company has launched many new models so far this year. Due to which customers have got many options. These include A-Class Limousine, AMG A35 4 Matic, New E-Class, 7th Generation A-Class, 2nd Generation GLA, AMG GLA 35 4 Matic, New GLC, GLS Maybach 600 4 Matic SUV. The sales of the E-Class were the highest in the first 6 months of the year. At the same time, there was also a demand for 2nd generation GLA and A-class limousines.

Demand for Luxury Car Companies Increased in June
During the Corona period, in June 2021, some companies have got double growth on an annual basis. Where Mercedes sold 305 cars in June 2020, it sold 546 cars last month. At the same time, BMW sold 390 cars in June 2021. It had sold 155 cars in June 2020. Jaguar Land Rover sold 62 cars in June last year, which increased to 123 in June this year. Volvo sold 11 more cars than last year.
Companies like Volvo, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce were also included in the luxury car makers. However, the demand for these cars remained low as compared to other luxury cars.
