Kia EV6 Electric Car Launched in India: Kia has finally launched its first electric crossover, the Kia EV6. It has been launched in 2 trim versions GT Line RWD and GT Line AWD. The price of its GT Line RWD version has been fixed at Rs 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom) and the price of GT Line AWD version has been fixed at Rs 64.95 (ex-showroom). The company said that its 100 units have already been sold.
The booking of this car started from 26th May itself. The car could be booked at 15 select dealerships across 12 cities for a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. The Kia EV6 has received 355 pre-bookings so far. Now new booking will start from the month of September. Read Here: Latest Sports News.
Range up to 528 km on a Single Charge
The EV is powered by a 77.4 kW-R battery pack that powers all four wheels of the car and generates 321Bhp along with 605Nm of peak torque, while the less powerful 58kW-R battery pack also gets the Kia EV6 which produces 170Bhp power. and makes 350Nm of peak torque.
In the RWD version, the Kia EV6 will get a single motor. Which will generate 226 bhp and 350 Nm of torque, while the AWD version gets a dual motor setup. Both of these engines produce 320 bhp and 650 Nm of torque. A battery pack of 77.4 kWh is available in both versions. 5 Star Rating in Terms of Safety
The car has been crash tested by NCAP even before the booking of the new EV6, in which the EV6 has secured a 5-star rating. At the NCAP, the Kia EV6 secured a 5-star safety rating for adult safety scoring 34.48 out of 38.
