The Kawasaki W175 has been a very popular motorcycle. Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki (Kawasaki) has launched its cheapest bike new Kawasaki W175 in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price of Kawasaki W175 in India is Rs 1.47 Lakh. At this price point, this Kawasaki motorcycle falls in the price range of the recently launched Royal Enfield Hunter. Here’s what we know about the new Kawasaki W175’s design, features and equipment, and engine details. Also, which motorcycles will it compete in the Indian market?

Look and Design

Talking about the look and design of the new Kawasaki W175, it seems to be influenced by another model of the company, the W800. The W175 gets features like a tear-drop style fuel tank with a round headlight, squarish side panels, full front, and rear fenders, round turn signals, and a side-slung exhaust. The Kawasaki W175 gets a retro design, and the black-colored engine components and exhaust give it an attractive look.

Talking about its size and dimensions, the new Kawasaki W175 motorcycle gets a ground clearance of 165 mm, while its seat height is 790 mm. However, the biggest advantage of the W175 is its lightweight which is 135 kg. Which makes it a perfect motorcycle for those venturing into the world of motorcycles.

The 2022 Kawasaki W 175 gets telescopic front forks for suspension and dual shocks at the rear. At the same time, for braking, disc brakes have been given in the front with ABS and drum brakes in the rear. The bike gets a single pod instrument cluster, 65-watt halogen headlight, and 17-inch rims with spoked wheels.

The semi-digital instrument cluster is quite simple and comes with analog speedometer, odometer, and trip indicators. The 6 warning lights on the console indicate high-beam, turn signal, neutral, and other details. Kawasaki does not offer smartphone connectivity or other features as the company believes that these features are generally not in demand in this segment.

Engine Power

When talking about Kawasaki, multi-cylinder liquid-cooled engines come to mind. However, the company has given a 177cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine in the Kawasaki W 175. This engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox generates 12.8 bhp power and 13.2 Nm torque. This engine gets a two-valve setup and is fuel injected.

How Much is the Price

The Kawasaki W175 Standard Ebony color variant is priced at Rs 1,47,000. While the W175 Special Edition Red variant costs Rs 1,49,000.
