Many Design Elements have Also been Taken from Fireblade
In terms of looks, in the new-gen CBR600RR, the company has taken a number of design elements from the older and more CBR1000RR-R, such as new fairing and sleeker twin-LED headlights. However, the upcoming Supersport’s wheels, swingarm and frame remain the same. Interestingly, Honda has retained the under-seat exhaust in the upcoming model, which is the signature trail of the CBR600RR.
Supersport will appear in traditional Honda colors of red, blue and white. Unlike the new blade, the CBR600RR receives a conventional-key for ignition. It will get updated analog instrumentation compared to the previous gen CBR600RR. The company has given a color TFT in it, which displays all the essentials including the ride mode. It can be seen from the teaser video that the red bit of the second bit motor is between 15000 to 17000 rpm.
Will Get 599 cc Engine
It will get a 599 cc four cylinder engine, which gets the same power as before. However, no explanation has been given about power and torque. According to reports, it will generate power of about 118 PS (116 horsepower). For safety, it can get many advanced features including Traction Control, Corning ABS. Finally, the video also shows smaller winglets, not like the ones on the larger blades, but with a better design intended to contribute towards better aero than the previous model.
Launching Can Also be Done in India
The upcoming Honda CBR600RR will compete with the mid-weight Supersport category bikes like the Yamaha R6, Kawasaki ZX-6R and Aprilia RS 660. Considering that the new-gen Blade will arrive in India soon, it is expected that Honda 2 Wheeler India will launch it in India as well.
